چکیده

A label-free adenosine sensor with emissive response is designed based on an AP site-containing aptamer/DNA duplex and a small fluorescent molecule 2-amino-5,6,7-trimethyl-1,8-naphthyridine (ATMND).

Target-controlled formation of silver nanoclusters in abasic site-incorporated duplex DNA for label-free fluorescence detection of theophylline.

A novel, label-free, fluorescence based sensor for theophylline has been developed. In the new sensor system, an abasic site-incorporated duplex DNA probe serves as both a pocket for recognition of theophylline and a template for the preparation of fluorescent silver nanoclusters. The strategy relies on theophylline-controlled formation of fluorescent silver nanoclusters from abasic site-incorp...

Label-free catalytic and molecular beacon containing an abasic site for sensitive fluorescent detection of small inorganic and organic molecules.

In this work, two methods with complementary features, catalytic and molecular beacon (CAMB) and label-free fluorescent sensors using an abasic site, have been combined into new label-free CAMB sensors that possess advantages of each method. The label-free method using a dSpacer-containing molecular beacon makes CAMB more cost-effective and less interfering with the catalytic activity, while CA...

Fluorescence and electrochemical detection of pyrimidine/purine transversion by a ferrocenyl aminonaphthyridine derivative.

A novel hydrogen bond-forming ligand for pyrimidine/purine transversion, which contains both a fluorescent naphthyridine moiety and a ferrocenyl group as an electrochemical indicator, is described. Hydrogen bond-mediated recognition for a target nucleobase at an abasic site in a DNA duplex is confirmed by both fluorescence and electrochemical measurements. The analysis by fluorescence titration...

A novel label-free cocaine assay based on aptamer-wrapped single-walled carbon nanotubes

Objective(s): This paper describes a selective and sensitive biosensor based on the dissolution and aggregation of aptamer wrapped single-walled carbon nanotubes. We report on the direct detection of aptamer–cocaine interactions, namely between a DNA aptamer and cocaine molecules based on near-infrared absorption at λ807. Materials and Methods: First a DNA aptamer recognizing cocaine was non-co...

Micromechanical detection of proteins using aptamer-based receptor molecules.

We report label-free protein detection using a microfabricated cantilever-based sensor that is functionalized with DNA aptamers to act as receptor molecules. The sensor utilizes two adjacent cantilevers that constitute a sensor/reference pair and allows direct detection of the differential bending between the two cantilevers. One cantilever is functionalized with aptamers selected for Taq DNA p...
